Helen Calcutt is a British poet, dance artist & choreographer.〔Bell, Jo. Bugged. Bell Jar Press, 2010pg 116〕 She is the first writer-in-residence to be appointed by the Clent Hills (National Trust ). She is currently Poet-in-Residence at Loughborough University. == Biography == Helen Calcutt was brought up in the Black Country in Walsall. She received a First Class (BA) Honours Degree in Philosophy & Creative and Professional Writing. She originally trained as a professional dancer before becoming a writer. Described as 'radical' 'uncompromising' 'much like Emily Dickinson, surprising and new' her poetry marks the presence of a compelling new literary voice. Much associated with the traditions of European verse, her work has received global publication, from The New Yorker and Poetry Salzburg, to arts and fashion journal (House of Coco ). She has worked with institutions as diverse as Poetry International, Poetry By Heart and The National Trust.
